Dr. Kaynat Kazi

Dr. Kaynat Kazi is a renowned cultural conservationist, academician, research scholar, author, documentary filmmaker, and photographer with many years of experience in top-ranked universities across India. She founded the Bougainvillea Art Foundation and is recognized as India’s first solo female traveller who has travelled 3 lacs kilometres in five years. She has also contributed to the preservation of India’s cultural heritage through her writings and collaborations with institutions like the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts and the Ministry of Culture. Her work spans cultural documentation, photography, and the publication of several well-regarded books, including Bodhgaya Ke Vihar, The Monasteries of Bodhgaya, Morena and Rahagiri: Bharat Darshan from the View of a Solo Female Traveler. Dr. Kazi has thirteen books to her credit. As a photographer, she has had several photo exhibition in India.

Dr. Kazi’s academic background includes a PhD in Hindi and an M.A. in Journalism and Hindi. With her academic knowledge, she has served as a subject expert and keynote speaker at numerous workshops and conferences, with a special focus on women’s empowerment, travel writing, and cultural heritage. She has received several accolades, including the Swayamsiddha Award (2023) and the International Yogini Award (2023). A passionate advocate for rural tourism and community-based conservation, Dr. Kazi continues to inspire through her travel, teaching, and documentation efforts.
