A ‘Viksit Bharat Ambassador’ Meet Up in Chennai was held on Friday, 22nd March 2024. The Viksit Bharat Ambassador or #VBA2024 meet-up, held at the prestigious YMCA Auditorium, brought together a diverse audience of over 400 attendees, including professionals such as lawyers and engineers and enthusiastic students eager to contribute to the nation’s growth.
The esteemed presence of Mr Anurag Thakur, Union Minister for I&B, Youth Affairs & Sports, GoI, graced the event. He delivered an impactful presentation highlighting India’s achievements over the past decade and how the Modi government is charting a visionary path towards Viksit Bharat 2047. The voices of the youth from Loyola and Presidency Colleges enriched the dialogue.
During the presentation, Minister Thakur highlighted the government’s commitment to financial inclusion and empowerment at grassroots levels, citing the opening of 43 crore bank accounts within just two years as a notable achievement.
Hitesh Jain, Vice President of BJP Mumbai Pradesh, emphasized the importance of amplifying India’s development journey through the Narendra Modi App and encouraged attendees to download the NaMo App for active participation in the nation’s progress.
Minister Thakur also addressed crucial issues such as national security, emphasizing the need to empower India while securing its borders and combating threats like Naxalism and terrorism. His insights shed light on the government’s comprehensive approach to ensuring economic growth and national security, which are vital for Viksit Bharat’s success.

Chennai residents Srivatsa, Rangaraj, Umesh Agarwal, and Laxminarayanan, among others, lauded the government’s initiatives in supporting entrepreneurship, job creation, and infrastructure development, all essential components for India’s holistic growth.
A prominent Chennai-based entrepreneur, Umesh Agarwal, highlighted the government’s focus on sectors like aviation, defence, and genetics, signalling India’s journey towards self-reliance and global competitiveness. He also emphasized the crucial role of Micro, Small, and medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as the backbone of the economy, underscoring the government’s support for their growth and innovation.
Chennai resident Laxminarayanan praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership on the global stage, his initiatives such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Vaccine Maitri, and the widespread recognition of India’s progress and influence under Modi’s tenure.
