Disasters challenge nations, and India, with 85% of its area prone to hazards, is no exception. Since 2014, India’s disaster management has evolved, focusing on preparedness and resilience. This paper analyzes key advancements through four case studies—Cyclone Biporjoy, Sikkim floods, Uttarkashi rescue, and Cyclone Amphan—examining early warnings, responses, and post-disaster efforts within a robust framework.
